Why should you paint the exterior of your home?

You should paint the exterior of your home about every 5 to 10 years to keep the wood from rotting. When you start to see cracking, peeling or bubbling in the paint, then its possible that moisture is causing problems underneath the paint. If the wood on your home goes unprotected, it can lead to wood rot and you may end up having to replace trim or even an entire deck. Painting maintenance and upkeep may make a difference in the life of your painted surfaces.

How often should you paint the interior of your home?

How often a house interior should be painted depends on the room. Kitchens, bathrooms, and hallways are 2 to 4 years. Living and dining rooms are 5 to 7 years. Bedrooms are 2 to 8 years. Exteriors are 5 to 10 years. The time depends on how much traffic your house has and the climate you live in.

Deck Maintenance

Spring is coming and it’s a great time to have your yearly maintenance done on your deck. Since decks are exposed to natural elements, it is important to keep up with the maintenance. This includes pressure washing, painting, sealing and checking for wood rot or other damage. Maintaining your deck also increases the value of your home! Contact us today for a free estimate!
